My experience with JYC

From the 27th of July to the 5th of August, I volunteered with the Jennifer Yu Cheng Girls Impact Foundation (JYCGIF) for their summer program on coding and developing digital literacy! There were talks on how one can be future ready as a leader, as well as discussions on how important it is to have women in STEM sectors, all of which were incredibly inspiring. My role as a volunteer was to be a teaching assistant for their coding course, as well as to help set up certain activities and games demonstrating the use of technology in the real world. The girls were all incredibly bright, and I am so happy that I was able to work with them.

Later on in the year in October, I volunteered to be a student photographer at their FutureGEN Girls Leadership Summit! It was a day full of workshops and inspiring talks from successful women!
